Experienced in designing web standards compliant, dynamic, and accessible web sites using such technologies as HTML/XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP and MySQL. Experience with UNIX/Linux server environments and proficient in several design programs including Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop and Flash.

Communications
Designed and distributed an email newsletter for UT Libraries. Samples of the newsletter are online at http://www.lib.utk.edu/outreach/enews . Also promoted the UT Libraries on social networking sites such as Facebook.

Digitization
Skilled in digitizing and converting many types of print and multimedia materials. Assisted Hodges Media Center personnel in research and implementation of media collections conversion from u-matic format to DVD and other digital formats.

Experience with many types of slide and flatbed scanners and video digitization equipment. Proficient with iMovie, QuickTime, and RealVideo/Audio.

Collection Development
Totally Catholic Link Directory (www.tcld.net) - Created and maintained (1996-2003) an award winning database driven online collection of Roman Catholic web resources.

Web Usability and Electronic Resources Research
Familiar with the setup and design of a usability lab and best practices in usability testing. Assisted with web usability tests and other assigned tasks for Dr. Carol Tenopir’s electronic journals research.

Instruction
School of Information Sciences:Taught technology and web design classes and units to graduate and undergraduate students.

John C. Hodges Library:
The Studio: Responsible for providing information services and individual user instruction and support in a multi-platform digital media production lab setting.

Library Training: Taught web design and Web 2.0 classes as well as classes about the University of Tennessee web templates to library personnel.

Online Instruction: Assisted various departments in developing and providing online instructional materials.
